About Us


Sara Wolkowitz is an independent filmmaker and theater director. Her film credits include Pretty Girl, produced for the 2008 South by Southwest Film Festival, and Chords, shown at numerous festivals including the 2008 Los Angeles Womens’ Film Festival and the 2008 Hawaii International Film Festival. Sara also has a strong theater back ground, including directing a new play for the Planet Connections Festival, War Crimes, for which she was nominated for “Outstanding Use of Projections, Special Effects, and/or Multi-Media Event.” Last year she finished her first feature documentary, Still on the Road, about America’s longest running touring theater company, The Acting Company, which was screened at the Lincoln Center Film Society in January. Most recently she directed and edited a webseries called "Diary of a Chorus Girl," about a woman who makes her Broadway debut in Catch Me If You Can.  www.sarawolkowitz.com


Jessica Fox is a writer and film director with an extensive background in storytelling.  Her directing and writing credits include "Bluebeard" a short film recognized at the North Hampton Film Festival, Baltimore International Film Festival and the Boston International Film Festival, "Spring Fling" a commercial for Scotland's Arts and Crafts Organization, "The Last First Tour" a six-part band documentary featuring the Dresden Dolls and "Birth" a short animation that is nearing completion this year.  Jessica has consulted for Harper Collins and was the resident storyteller and film director at NASA.  Currently, Jessica is directing a feature documentary called "The Grand Guignol" featuring Neil Gaiman and Stephin Merritt of the Magnetic Fields.  She divides her time between the US and the UK.  Her first novel is due to be published by Short Books in London.  www.mythicimagestudios.com
